Sentinel Risk Advisors welcomes Nicole Winkle, one of North Carolina’s leading insurance executives, to its senior management team. Winkle joins Sentinel as Chief Operations Officer, a newly created role that positions the growing company for the next stage of development.
Sentinel—a premier insurance brokerage firm with a reputation for exceptional client experience in 36 states—has offices in Raleigh and Greenville, with plans to add several more around the state in the next two years.
Winkle has spent the crux of her career in the insurance industry as a principal marketer. For nearly 25 years, she has expertly assessed risk for her clients, negotiated the best possible policies on their behalf, and built successful partnerships with the nation’s top insurance carriers. Winkle joins Sentinel following a four-year stint at James A. Scott & Son, and before that, spent 15 years in marketing and operations at Senn Dunn Insurance.
“Nicole is here to take Sentinel to that next stage in our company’s history,” said Jim Holmes, Jr., Sentinel’s founder and managing partner. “On the surface, she’ll be putting the systems, policies and procedures into place that we need to prepare for the exponential growth that is coming. Winkle, who has amassed an impressive level of expertise in the insurance industry over the course of her career, says she is looking forward to adding depth to Sentinel’s client executive teams, as well. Winkle says she was drawn to Sentinel, in part, for the team’s highly collaborative approach to doing business.
